So we’re having supper with a “collection of disreputable guests”… So what? Who else do you think would follow a guy whose teaching is totaling new???
But the scholars and Pharisees are there too – and they’re dis’ing Jesus for supping with the “riff raff”.
Jesus is so cool – He says “Who needs a doctor… I’m here inviting the sin-sick, not the spiritually fit.”
I’m not sure if that comment put the scholars and Pharisees in their place or really infuriated them…
Maybe they will leave us alone…
