What will
happen next? I guess the Pharisees ran out of guys who were willing to try to
trap Jesus!!!
This time
it’s Sadducees – the ones who don’t even believe in the resurrection – ask
Jesus a question about resurrection!!!
A woman
married one brother at a time – all seven eventually – where’s the drum roll –
“At the resurrection whose wife will she be?”
Jesus gave
this answer “After the dead are raised – you’ll be like angels in that there is
no gender, no need to procreate, no need for sex…. God is the God of the Living.”
That first
sentence is clear enough. But you could go several directions with God is the
God of the Living…
After the
resurrection –
Will the earth be gone?
Will we forget our earthly life?
Our friends? Our enemies? (That’s OK by me – I don’t really have much to miss…)
Will we have the image of God on
a much deeper level?
I think I
want to be resurrected!!! Soon!!!
